A facial serum is an essential element in any effective skincare routine. What is a Facial Serum and How Does It Work?

A serum is a highly concentrated intensive care for the face, applied after cleansing and before moisturizer. Serums are characterized by their light, liquid texture, which allows the active ingredients to penetrate deep into the skin. The care molecules in serums are particularly small and can be better absorbed by the skin than the ingredients in creams.

Application of a Facial Serum:

Apply the serum after cleansing your face with cleansing foam and facial tonic, but before applying your day cream. Due to the previous cleansing steps, the skin is optimally prepared to absorb the highly concentrated active ingredients of the serum. A few drops of serum are enough to care for your face and neck. Make sure to gently pat the serum into the skin to help it absorb better and unleash its maximum effect.

Effect of a facial serum:

Facial serums work by penetrating deep into the layers of the skin thanks to their light texture. There, they can deliver their highly concentrated ingredients such as vitamin C, hyaluronic acid, collagen, or biobotox directly to the cells. This leads to an immediate and long-lasting improvement in the skin's appearance. Serums are particularly effective in combating skin problems such as moisture loss, wrinkles, impurities, pigmentation spots, and other signs of skin aging.

However, they are particularly popular during the day due to their antioxidant or muscle-relaxing properties, which help achieve a plumper and smoother skin:

Does the face serum replace my day or night care?
